Contact form

For money and practical advice, or visas and international student advice, please use our contact form to send us your query or to request an appointment. We offer appointments in person at the Mile End campus, via Teams, or phone.

To read our detailed guidance, visit our Money and Practical Advice webpages and our Visas and International Student Advice webpages of our website. On those pages we also explain how we work, and about our professional standards.

Contact us for wellbeing support

To book an appointment with a Counsellor, a Mental Health Adviser, Student Wellbeing Adviser or the Sexual Assault and Harassment Adviser, complete our counselling and mental health referral form in MySIS.

In MySIS, click on the Student Services/SEC Online tab at the top and select ‘Submit a request for counselling or mental health advice’.

To find out more about the support we offer, visit the Wellbeing Support webpages of our website. Once we have your form, we’ll contact you with a suitable appointment based on your availability. Please confirm whether you can make the initial appointment within the period specified, as unconfirmed appointments may be offered to another student.

Important information about wellbeing appointments

For counselling, mental health advice and student wellbeing advice, we are currently offering online appointments via MS Teams and in-person appointments on the Mile End campus. You will need your own quiet, confidential space for online appointments.

Waiting times for an appointment depend on the time of year. During quieter times (start of term and holidays) you may be offered an initial appointment quickly but at busier times, the wait time for an initial appointment may be 2–3 weeks or longer. The more availability you can give us, the sooner we will be able to offer you an appointment.

If you are finding things difficult while you are waiting or have concerns for your mental health, we recommend you contact your GP.

You can also contact your Student Support Officer to discuss academic concerns. For urgent support, please see our Help in a crisis information. For confidential listening and support services, see our list of External Support Organisations.
