You will need to complete our Registration Form in MySiS.Please state on the form if you would like a Mental Health Advice appointment. Once we have your form, we’ll contact you with a suitable vacancy depending on your availability.
Once you are offered an initial consultation, please confirm within the period specified, as unconfirmed appointments may be offered to another student.
We would also recommend making an appointment with your GP if you are feeling psychologically unwell, so that your GP can support you and, if necessary, assist with specialist referral within the NHS. If you’re concerned about how to get referred to specialist services, mental health adviser can help with this during your appointment.
Mental Health Advisers are currently offering online appointments via MS Teams, and some face-to-face appointments.
What happens next
You will be offered an appointment with a Mental Health Adviser to talk through your difficulties and situation. Your Mental Health Adviser can consider any support that would be relevant to your health and circumstances and help signpost you to these services. The service will be confidential with the exception that you disclose information that implies you or others may be in immediate danger. If this occurs, your Mental Health Adviser will aim to discuss the next steps with you, where possible.
