The International Welcome Programme takes place every year at QMUL.
The programme includes an Airport Collection service over the Welcome Weekend at Heathrow Terminal 3. You will need to book a place via the QMUL pre-arrival web pages.
Activities will be taking place across campus for newly arriving students during the weekend.
The International Welcome Programme involves staff from the International Office, Advice and Counselling, Student Services, Language Centre, and the Students' Union, amongst others, who put on a range of talks and activities for our new international students to help you settle into life at QMUL. The Welcome Programme is a great opportunity for you to meet QMUL staff and students, and to find out important information about life at QMUL and in London. You can see the 2017 programme here.
There will also be a range of social events during welcome week. Those organised by the Student's Union are listed here. You can find out more about what happens in welcome week in this short film. And about all welcome events and activities here.
You can find useful information about what to do before you come to QMUL, as well as what you need to do when you arrive, on the International Student New Arrivals web pages.
You may also find it useful to read our web page about opening a bank account in the UK.
It can be useful to prepare yourself for transitioning to a new culture, and UKCISA has some useful information about coping with culture shock.
If you would like to chat to a former QMUL student in your home country before you come to London, to find out more about what to expect from living and studying in London, we have a network of alumni ambassadors across the world who you can contact.
We look forward to welcoming you to QMUL.
