Enrol

Enrol

I am outside the UK

If you are applying outside the UK, you cannot complete the in-person part of your enrolment at QMUL before you have received the outcome of your Tier 4 application and travelled to the UK. If you are delayed coming to the UK, please read important information here

I am inside the UK, coming from another institution

If you are already in the UK, you must normally submit a new Tier 4 immigration application before you can enrol. As long as you make your new Tier 4 application before your existing immigration permission expires, you can study while you are waiting for the UK Government to decide your application.
Warning: If you enrol before your immigration application is granted, you do this at your own risk. If your application is refused you will have a fee liability for the whole academic year and you will not get a refund of any fees paid.

We recommend that you make your new Tier 4 application shortly before enrolment. You will then have time to enrol, take your required documents to enrolment, including a copy of the printed cover sheet from your online application, before you post the required documents to the Home Office. If for any reason you need to post your documents to the Home Office before you enrol, please make sure that you have high quality photocopies or scans of your documents, or alternatively that you have taken your documents needed for enrolment to the Student Enquiry Centre (ground floor, Queens’ Building) so that they can take copies. If you have not done either of those things and you are unable to provide your originals because they are at the Home Office, you will not be able to complete your enrolment.

I am inside the UK, moving between courses at QMUL

If you have completed a course at QMUL and are starting a new course here, the UK Government will allow you to enrol on a new course before you have made your new Tier 4 application, as long as you meet the following requirements:

o    you are sponsored by QMUL (your current Tier 4 immigration permission was granted to study at QMUL) and you have completed your previous course; and
o    your existing immigration permission has not yet expired; and

You must make your new application for immigration permission within six weeks of enrolling on the course, or before your existing immigration permission expires, whichever is the earliest. If you do not, you will be liable to be deregistered from QMUL.
Warning: If you enrol before your immigration application is granted, you do this at your own risk. If your application is refused you will have a fee liability for the whole academic year and you will not get a refund of any fees paid.
